Attendance

It is essential that students attend classes on a regular basis.  The following is the school policy on how excessive absences are handled.

5 absences in one semester (2 quarters) –         Results in an attendance letter being sent home

15 absences in one semester –                          Results in a meeting with the parent and someone in the main office to discuss concerns

20 absences in one semester -                           Phone call home and the district is notified

25 absences in one semester -                           Meeting with parent, someone from Child Welfare, and possibly a deputy

Tardiness

Students will be given a tardy slip each time they arrive at class after the bell has rung to start that class.

3 tardy slips -                                                   Two days of lunch detention

6 tardy slips -                                                   One week of lunch detention

More than 6 tardy slips -                                   Referral to administration for a Saturday school

Cell Phone Policy

Students are allowed to have cell phones at school, but they must be turned off and out of

sight when a student is in a classroom.  If a cell phone rings during class, the cell phone

will be taken away and given to the team’s administrator, where the student can pick it

up after school.
