Bowman High School Fans!
October 27, 2009
On Tuesday afternoon, Bowman students were treated to a visit from the hit group, Shwayze, who were on campus to raise awareness for the 2010 Summer Meltdown Autism Awareness Concert, being held on May 8th of next year.
Students heard new cuts from the band’s album titled “Let It Beat,” which will be released in early November. The band signed autographs and took pictures with their ecstatic fans, while their music blared in the quad.
Event coordinator Bret Lieberman enthused: “The Summer Meltdown unites all our students from different campuses and brings them together to support a common cause. Today’s event was a huge moral booster for our students!”
Bowman student Dominique Hicks said “I can’t believe they came to our school to meet us! Everyone was really excited!”
The feeling of unity generated from the event was apparent on the faces of Bowman’s students, who were thrilled to be included in this special event.
