Cowboy Resurrection

Canyon tops Hart in the CIF championship game for first title since 1985.

CARSON — The biggest football game in the history of the Santa Clarita Valley came all the way down to the wire.

Canyon High School, holding an eight-point lead with 2:20 left to play, withstood a 98-yard Hart High drive, stopping the Indians a yard short of the goal line to become the kings of Santa Clarita.
