Program Details and Eligibility Requirements

The following is a list of current program support
offered by the Career Visions Program

 

Service Program

Eligibility Qualifiers

WorkAbility-I Middle School

Opportunities include: interest assessment, immersive exploration in areas of expressed career interest, Heads Up (leadership training with horses), career counseling, and paid work training.

- Program Referral required.

-Student must be enrolled in special education or have a documented disability.

- Paid work training services offered to students 14 years and older only.


WorkAbility-I High School

Opportunities include: interest assessment, intensive workforce preparation training, concurrent enrollment in local occupational training, immersive exploration in areas of expressed career interest, career counseling, transition planning, and paid work training.

- Program Referral required.

-Student must be enrolled in special education or have a documented disability.

- Paid work training services offered to students 14 years and older only.

Transition Partnership Program

Offered as a service collaborative with the California Department of Rehabilitation, opportunities include: interest assessment, intensive workforce preparation training, concurrent enrollment in local occupational training support, immersive exploration in areas of expressed career interest, career counseling, transition planning, and paid work training.

- Program Referral required.

- Student must be enrolled in special education or have a documented disability.

- Applicant subject to Department of Rehabilitation eligibility requirements.

- Applicants must be within two years of exit from high school, or at least 16 years of age.
