Program sponsored Career Transition Advisors (CTA) are available at the middle and high school levels as a development resource for youth in need of employment services throughout the Santa Clarita Valley.
This team of dedicated professionals assist the education team in formulating realistic school to work transition goals, while functioning as community based vocational counselors, job developers, and program liaisons.

Considered paramount in the development of a successful transition plan, our Career Transition Advisors use a variety of interest and aptitude assessment tools in order to gauge student strengths and vocational preference. A program referral is needed
for service implementation.

Our Career Transition Advisors work with youth and young adults ages 12-22. After receiving an initial program referral , CTAs screen potential applicants for program eligibility, administer interest inventories, conduct informal transition planning interviews, and initiate immersive workforce preparation activities including: vocational exploration trips, job shadows, workforce preparation exercises in the classroom, and subsidized work training. Throughout the process, our team reinforces the principals of self-advocacy and personal ownership. Follow this link for a current listing of vocational services provided by the Career Visions Team.
