Qualifications:                        Valid Teaching Credential

                                                               

                                                Other demonstrated qualities/abilities should include:

o        Successful teaching experience

o        Strong desire to work with students at high school level

o        Willingness and ability to work productively and enthusiastically with department and on an academic team 

o        Experience in working with state standards, developing student-centered standards based instruction, rubrics and performance assessments to stimulate student learning

o        Experience/willingness to teach in a block/alternative scheduling format

o        Willingness to implement and share interdisciplinary, organizational, and delivery activities for student learning and staff development

o        Bilingual background highly desirable. CLAD/BCLAD authorization preferred

o        Willingness to coach or advise extra-curricular activities
