AIR FORCE JR RESERVE OFFICER TRAINING CORPS Grades 9-12
(AFJROTC) 5 - 40 Credits

Modern aircraft design and their component parts, as well as their purpose, are studied along with the nature and importance of weather and the development of space flight. Students will become acquainted with military and civilian management customs and courtesies, and flag etiquette. Respect for authority, the principles of honor and integrity, communication skills, problem-solving, human relations, and logical thinking are emphasized. AFJROTC students are expected to wear the uniform properly and proudly during the school day an average of one day per week. They will learn the basic drill movements and how to give commands, and will participate in field trips, cadet
organization activities, and special events.

Wells Fargo becomes partners with Golden Valley HS. A donation of $1,000 was giving to GVHS by the new Wells Fargo located in the Golden Valley Plaza. Wells Fargo is also providing a Hands On Training for GVHS Seniors during Economics and Government classes this upcoming school year. This program offers money skills you will need for life.

Sign up As Soon As Possible (ASAP) for this new GVHS class! This course will focus on three areas: HTML, web design, and web production. Students will learn tto use the web as well as how to design web pages. Topics include browsers, search engines, HTML, frames, tables, links, forms, and layout. Experienced web designers will be asked to help produce the GV webpage. See your counselor or Mr. Gavin for details.
