“REGULAR” AND “WORK EXPERIENCE”
When school is in session, Hart District and OFL students submit completed work permit application  to the work permit office at their school sites. The form must be signed by employer and parent/guardian.
Private and home school students need additional documentation and may schedule an appointment by calling 661.259.0033 x231.
It is not the intent of the District to jeopardize employment or delay employment starting dates for students. Please contact the Work Permit office at (661) 259-0033, Ext. 231, if you need additional assistance.
SUMMER/VACATION WORK PERMITS
OBTAIN WORK PERMITS FROM THE ATTENDANCE TECHNICIAN AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS:
JUNE 15-JUNE 29
8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Saugus High School
JULY 6-JULY 16
8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Canyon High School
Saugus High School
West Ranch High School
Work permits are available on the following dates when the school sites are closed at:
Hart District Administrative Center
21515 Centre Pointe Parkway, Santa Clarita
Wed, June 9, 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Tues, July 20, 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Thurs, July 29, 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Wed, Aug 4, 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Student must be present to receive a work permit and must bring:
1) Request for Work Permit Form complete with employer and parent signatures
2) Proof of date of birth (Driver License, Birth Certificate, Baptismal Certificate, California Identification Card, Passport. Student I.D. is NOT acceptable)
All vacation work permits EXPIRE 8/31/10. Students will need to reapply at their home school site for a 2010/11 "regular" or "work experience" work permit after school starts.
Notes:
• Private school students do not need verification of enrollment and attendance during summer months.
• Applications for permission to work in ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY need to be signed by the SCHOOL REGISTRAR at the school attended in Spring 2010.
