Hart Union High School District and is located in the beautiful Santa Clarita Valley in Southern California.

Our very own Mr. Pete Fries, Principal, gave a report to our Board of Education at Wednesday November 4th meeting. Here is copy of his report! We are all very proud!
La Mesa Junior High School: The school’s Academic Performance Index has risen consistently over the past five years. Principal Pete Fries explained that the success has resulted from a focus on the standards and literacy, targeted intervention programs and increased collaboration. A Homework Club meets two nights a week, and after-school tutoring is available for students who need support. La Mesa is working with Golden Valley to create a seamless six-year program for students from grades seven through 12.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS:
- CONGRATULATIONS LA MESA! We made a 23 point gain in our API scores. La Mesa went from 788 to 806! Our district is at 818! This district wide API score places us No. 1 in the state among union high school districts with 15,000 or more students.
- The September/October edition of our newsletter Paw Prints have been posted.
- School hours are from 8:40-3:10. Please do not drop your student off prior to 8AM.
- During the past school year many local businesses have supported the La Mesa Family. As the school year draws to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their support. We urge you to support them throughout the year. Here is a list of these fine businesses!
