Accelerated Reader Program

La Mesa has Accelerated Reader (often called "AR") tests for approximately 3,800 books. Students select books from the list, and take computerized multiple-choice tests on the books. Tests are administered by appointment with the student's English teacher.  Points are earned according to the difficulty of the book.
