Revolution Science Welcome to La Mesa! The seventh grade science course at La Mesa Junior High covers the following topics: Lab Safety, Cell Biology, Genetics, Evolution & Earth History, Human Body Systems, and Reproductive Health. Each unit is centered in the California Science standards for the seventh grade. These standards can be found in the front of your science textbook. Standards covered in each chapter are listed at the beginning of the chapter in the text. AVID 7 Welcome to the AVID Program! We are so excited to be working with all of you this year and know that together we can begin to pave a path towards college success. Being a part of the AVID program is a serious commitment that can pay off with big rewards. We, the AVID team, look forward to working with you throughout the school year so that you may reach your college dreams. Weekly AVID assignments include tutorials Tuesday and Thursday as well as a weekly binder and notes check on Fridays. In addition to our weekly activities, AVID students have the opportunity to participate in scholarship contests as well as trips to local universities.
