The Learning Post History
The Learning Post High School is a fully WASC accredited Independent Study High School recognized by the State of California offering an alternative education program. The Learning Post High School maintains a separate campus and is part of the William S. Hart Union High School District. The Learning Post grants a high school diploma and has a yearly graduation ceremony. Students must meet all State and District requirements to obtain their diploma.
The Learning Post High School opened its doors in the fall of 1980, thanks to the efforts of Judith K. Webber, Principal, Richard Morales, teacher, and Holly Gravett, then a secretary. The school started with eight students and now accommodates 135 students. Over 700 students have graduated from our school.
We are extremely proud of our school and students. We provide an important education alternative in the Wm. S. Hart High School District.
