Scholarship Information


SCVSF Eligibility Requirements

  • Students must be a resident of the Santa Clarita Valley.
  • Students must have attended at least the 11th and 12th grade in the Wm. S. Hart Union High School District.
  • Students must have a 2.0 GPA or above and a plan to continue your education.
  • If selected as a scholarship recipient, students must write a thank-you letter or acknowledgement ot the donor.
  • Students must provide a typed essay of approximately 350 words explaining why the field of study was chosen and what is expected to be accomplished.


    Donor-specified additions or exemptions to SCVSF general requirements


    Hart District Teachers Association - $1,000

    4-year college/university or community college Priorities for choosing recipient:

    1st - Dependent of and HDTA member; does not have to be going into education.
    2nd - Dependent of Hart District employee, does not have to be going into education.
    3rd - going into education - Counseling is ok if there is no eligible teaching candidate.
    4th - Best eligible candidate


    James and Delores Dickinson Memorial Scholarship - $500
  • Emphasis on outstanding school service.


    Walter and Gertrude Baugher Memorial Scholarship - $500
  • Demonstrate outstanding community service.


    Santa Clarita Valley Scholarship Foundation - $500
