Students Should Always Get 100% on Algebra Homework Quizzes
Algebra teachers do not check to see if the homework is completed. Instead, they give homework quizzes that help them determine who is and who is not doing the homework.
- Step 1: Students take notes while teacher explains problems on board.
- Step 2: Students complete the homework.
- Step 3: Students check the back of the book to see if their answers are correct. Most sections have the odd answers in the back while skills/concepts and the wrap-up have all the answers.
- Step 4: If their answers are not correct, they should try the problem again. If they still cannot get the answer, they should look for assistance from a friend, a family member, or a tutor. There is additional help on the website – www.phschool.com.
- Step 5: If they still cannot figure out the answer, they should ask the teacher in class the next day or after school to get the correct work and answer.
- Step 6: When they get the correct answer, the students need to write the correct answer and all the correct steps in their math notebooks.
Homework Quiz: Every week or so, teachers will ask students to copy four problems out of their math notebook. If they always complete the homework and make the corrections in their notebook, they should always receive 100% on the homework quiz.
