Take out your child’s most recent STAR Test scores.  If your child is not yet scoring proficient in English Language Arts and/or math, we strongly recommend that you have him/her review basic skills in English and math.  We find that many students who are having difficulty in pre-algebra or algebra do not have the mastery of FRACTIONS AND/OR DECIMALS that they should have by now.  You can find many different basic skills workbooks at A Plus Teaching Supplies at 21515 Soledad Boulevard near Mountasia.  If you say you are from Placerita, you will get a 10% discount!  Workbooks also are available at Borders and Barnes & Noble. 

Where can my child ge assistance with Algebra?
If your child is having trouble with algebra, there is drop-in help available at 2:45 pm in the following rooms:
Mondays: P19 or P21 - rotate every other week
Tuesdays: P19 with Ms. Robison
Thursdays: P21 with Ms. Qualls
If you need to hire an outside tutor for your child, tutor lists are available in the counseling office.
