8th Grade U.S. History covers the colonization of the Americas, the Revolutionary War, the Constitution, Industrial Revolution,
westward expansion, the Civil War, Reconstruction and modern industrial movements to pre-WWI. One of our goals is to have
students connect the historic events, presidents, and politics of the past with the events in our world today. Eight grade highlights
the American Civil War which finally made the U.S. "one nation, indivisible" at both our Open House and again on Civil War Day toward
the end of the school year.
