Student of Month Winners for March/April- “Citizenship”
Congratulations to the following students who have been selected by their teachers for demonstrating the Character Counts trait of “Citizenship”:
Trailblazers- Maria Gomez- Maria is a fantastic young lady! She is someone who makes her teachers happy every time they see her smiling face. Maria is not only an excellent student, but is also a role model to all, and an exemplary citizen. Her Trailblazer teachers wish they had a classroom full of Marias. Congratulations!
Explorers- Janneth Portillo- Janneth is a wonderful citizen. She follows all class and school rules and gets along well with school staff and peers. Janneth is respectful and always willing to help her seat partner to stay on task and keep up with what is going on in class. She is a gem in Explorer classes and a good role model for her peers. Thank you Janneth!
Fusion- Sabrina Jeske- Sabrina is a happy, friendly young lady with a smile that reaches from ear to ear. She greets her classmates and her teachers with the same excited-about-life “Good morning” or “How is your day?” and is a breath of fresh air as she enters the classroom. She helps out a neighbor when needed but is not a disruption to others. Sabrina follows classroom rules and sets a fine example for her peers with her own behavior. She is the type of citizen others look up to and like to be around. Sabrina, Team Fusion is proud to have you on their team. Congratulations!
A.T.T.I.T.U.D.E. - Arnoldo Aguilar- Arnoldo knows how to follow the rules, he plays fair, and is a team player! He is very polite and willing to volunteer to help when others need it. Keep up the great citizenship, Arnoldo!
Pacesetters- Madeleine Sandoval Ramirez - As a citizen, we all have certain rights, and with those rights come responsibilities. Madeleine fulfills these responsibilities toward herself as well as others- she is always prepared to learn, and is supportive of her classmates' learning as well. Madeleine's work is always 100% complete, and often exceeds expectations. She goes about her business in a quiet and determined fashion, and in this she is a gentle and steadfast presence in the classroom for her teachers and her fellow students. Madeleine, you make a difference in the world. Thank you!
Adventurers- Abril Jimenez Gonzalez- Abril exemplifies the character trait of citizenship. She is kind, polite, conscientious, hard-working, respectful, and just an all-around wonderful student. Her positive and friendly attitude can be seen in class by all her teachers every day. Abril represents herself and Placerita in the best possible way, and her teachers are so proud of her and all her accomplishments!
Q.U.E.S.T. – Kaitlyn Sanchez- Kaitlyn is an amazing young woman who has met challenges in her life with dignity and strength. She is a model citizen in class who leads by example. Kaitlyn always exhibits good behavior, has a compassionate heart and tries to help others in need. For example, she recently volunteered to help package shoes for the shoe drive. Kaitlyn respects authority and obeys the rules of the school. She has dedicated her life to helping others by wanting to become a nurse as her profession. We appreciate you Kaitlyn!
Team Excellence- Paul Kim- Paul is everything that is good about a good citizen. He is helpful, kind, and respectful, and is an excellent example of citizenship for Placerita and Team Excellence. Great job, Paul!
Congratulations students! You will be invited to a brunch in your honor on Thursday, April 18th. You make Placerita a place where Character Counts!
