Looking for a way to support the Placerita Library? Volunteer for the Friends of the Placerita Library. We sponsor bake sales and spend an hour or two helping out in the library. If you are interested, please contact Mrs. Lewin by e-mail or at 259-1551 ext. 1008.
Library Hours:
Library hours are from 7:30 am to 3:15 pm, Monday - Thursday and from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm on Friday. We provide textbooks, chessboards, computers and a place to research or just read. We are open lunches when a class is not scheduled to use the library.
Accelerated Reader Tests:
Computers are available for taking AR quizzes before and after school and at lunch in the Library. Computers are also available in the computer lab, P-16, after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Students must display their ID card in order to log on to a computer and take an AR quiz. In order to receive credit, all quiz printouts must be signed by the Library/Computer Lab staff at the time the test is taken. Tests may be taken only once.
Library Services:
Textbooks are to remain at home. Students are asked not to bring their home sets to school. Not only are they heavy, but it is entirely unnecessary. Textbooks for use at school are provided in each classroom and a full set is in the library.
