Dear Parents and Students:

Welcome to the Placerita Pacesetters Team (Team D). Our goal for this year is to have students take responsibility for their own academic growth and success in preparation for their promotion to high school. This includes development and use of organizational and study skills. To this end, student planners will be required daily in all classes. Please check your student’s planner on a regular basis. There is a section in the planner for parent comments on a daily basis. Feel free to use this section to communicate with teachers. It is the student’s responsibility to relay these messages to us.

To further initiate our goal of student responsibility, we expect students to bring the following materials to class everyday:

English: Mrs. Johnson

composition book
pocket folder
DEAR book (preferably an A/R book)
pens: blue or black ink only
pencils and red pens

Science: Mrs. Schnittgrund
student planner
pocket folder
2 or more pens
2 or more pencils
colored pencils
ruler recommended
calculator recommended

History: Mrs. Ludlow
student planner
notebook/folder with a section for history
four 70100
page spiral notebooks (one for each quarter)
standard sized looseleaf
paper
blue or black pens
pencils and highlighters
glue stick
