Derek Ballard is now the 5th Head Coach in Saugus Basketball History. Hired in March of 2008, Derek wants to carry on the great tradition that has been set by previous coaches Fred Crummett, John Clark, Eric Olsson, and recently Jeff Hallman. Coach Ballard has coached in 4 different High School Programs. He played basketball at Clovis West High School in Fresno, Ca before going on to play at the College of the Canyons in Valencia, Ca. His basketball experiences paired with life experiences have helped him mold and shape his coaching philosophy, which is to push young men to meet high standards both on and off the court.
