Saugus Basketball Program Philosophy

The Saugus Program philosophy is one that includes a high energy, confident, and committed approach to everything we do, both in and outside the gymnasium. Our brand of basketball pushes our young men to play extremely hard. For a student athlete to be a part of Our family, he will have to live up to high standards of attitude, effort, and behavior. To last in our program, players have to be passionately committed. Our goals as a coaching staff, are to build fine young men by being good examples, to push young men to reach for the stars, and to hang championship banners. We admit to demanding a high level and the players in the program will need to buy in and be special enough to do it. We want the image of our players on campus to be high, and we feel that in order to do that, they will need to treat others with kindness and respect, be on their best behavior in their classes, and always have a positive attitude. Problems in these areas will not be treated lightly. It will not be easy, and this program and its demands will not be suitable for some. We do not intend to keep problematic players that refuse to go 100%, or are often displaying a negative influence. In order for a person to be labeled as a Saugus Basketball Player, they will need to have the desire to be special, unique, and different. Our program paves its own way, and we follow no one.
