Fundraiser Info - After picking up your cookie dough and gift orders from the fund-raiser, if you find you are missing any items that should have been included, please call 1 (800) 251-1542 to report what you are missing.  It is a Nashville, Tennessee number, so be mindful that there is a 2 hour time difference when calling.  They will send what you are missing directly to your home.  Thanks again for participating in our fall fund-raiser!

Halloween Carnival- On October 31st, Sierra Vista will be having a Halloween Carnival  from 2:30-4:30 p.m.  If your student attends, he/she will not be allowed to freely leave and/or come back for safety reasons; he/she will have to stay the entire time under our chaperone supervision.  The carnival will include fun games and music.  Tickets are: $5 the 27th and 28th, $8 the 29th and 30th, and $10 the 31st at brunch and lunch only in the ASB office.  For an extra $3, your student can pre-order 2 slices of pizza and a drink at the time of his/her ticket purchase through Thursday the 30th only, but there will also be pizza, drinks and cotton candy as well as green screen pictures for sale at the event, so your student may want to bring extra money to fully enjoy the experience.

Krispy Kreme Donuts are back, so don't miss out on your chance to order this yummy treat!!  Click here for a pre-order form for a dozen, original glazed donuts, any day this week in the ASB office for $10.  The donuts will be available to pick up on Saturday 11/8 in front of the Boys and Girls club from 7am to 8:30 am. 

Attention 8th grade parents - We have just added a second bus to our annual Washington D.C. trip scheduled for June 2015, so if you want to sign up, there's plenty of room.  Please register at www.usastudenttravel.com or go see Ms. Kontis in room 626 for a form.  And of course, you can email Ms. Kontis for details or information at kkontis@hartdistrict.org.  

Speech Contest- There will be a district-wide speech contest for 8th graders only.  The topic for speeches will be "How am I Inspired?" and should be a maximum of 3 minutes.  There are only 8 spots to be in the contest, so students should sign up to compete for a spot ASAP!!!  Prizes include 1st- $250, 2nd- $150 and 3rd-$50. A sign-up sheet will be at the ASB window through next week, and please have your student see Mr. Ippolito in room 301 with questions and to get more information.  Or click here.

Community Service Opportunity - Does your child need community service hours for Honor Society or other obligations?  Is it time to clean out your shoe closets and get rid of those shoes that no longer fit?  Students can earn community service hours by donating gently USED shoes.  Please bring shoes to Ms. Kontis' room, 626, and she will give community service hours for your donation, five pair minimum required.  Any type of gently used shoes will do.  These shoes will be donated to help the homeless, and you will be helping your community.

Box Tops -  Be sure to send Box Tops with your student to turn in  every month to earn money for our school.  Your child will be entered in the monthly drawing. 

Consumer Electronics Recycling - The Math Department is again collecting used (working or not) consumer electronics for recycling. You can send your items to your child’s math teacher or take them to the office. The list of recyclables includes:
