Parent News:

Attention Parents - We need your help with Prize Distribution and Cookie Dough Delivery on October 22nd.  Sign up HERE.  Thank you.

Magazine, Cookie Dough and Gift Fund-raiser prizes will be available for pick-up at lunch on October 22nd.  Next week, your students will receive a wrist band from their team leader teachers indicating what prize level they reached, and this will be their ticket into the MPR to get their prizes.  Also, that same day, the cookie dough orders will be available for pick up after school.  Please arrange to help your students pick up the cookie dough, as it needs to stay refrigerated especially if you have large orders.  Thanks again for participating in the fund-raiser!

Don't forget to order the 2015 Sierra Vista Jr. High Yearbook for the low price of $55.00! Prices go up to $60.00 on October 25th, so pre-order your yearbook today! You may order through Jostens.com or from the ASB office. Thank you for your support!

Speech Contest- There will be a district-wide speech contest for 8th graders only.  The topic for speeches will be "How am I Inspired?" and should be a maximum of 3 minutes.  There are only 8 spots to be in the contest, so students should sign up to compete for a spot ASAP!!!  Prizes include 1st- $250, 2nd- $150 and 3rd-$50. Community Service Opportunity - Does your child need community service hours for Honor Society or other obligations?  Is it time to clean out your shoe closets and get rid of those shoes that no longer fit?  Students can earn community service hours by donating gently USED shoes.  Please bring shoes to Ms. Kontis' room, 626, and she will give community service hours for your donation, five pair minimum required.  Any type of gently used shoes will do.  These shoes will be donated to help the homeless, and you will be helping your community.
