7th Grade Math Classes 
Seventh graders take one of the following courses:
  • Math 7 covers the 7th grade California Content Standards with a review of 6th grade standards. Successful students will continue into Algebra Readiness in the 8th grade. All others will continue in either Math 8 or Algebra Readiness.

  • Pre-Algebra covers the 7th grade California Content Standards. Students who are successful will continue into Algebra 8. All others will continue to Algebra Readiness.

  • Algebra A (Pre-Algebra Enriched)  is an honors level class that begins high school algebra. Successful students will continue on to Algebra BC in 8th grade and will continue on an honors track into high school. All others will go into Algebra 8 in the 8th grade.

  • Algebra 1AB is an honors class for students who mastered all 7th grade pre-algebra standards before entering 7th grade. Students who are successful will continue into Geometry in the 8th grade. All others will enter either Algebra 8 or Algebra BC.
