VHS "Punt, Pass, and Kick"
Wednesday at lunch
in Paul A. Priesz Stadium!
Competition Rules
Participants:
1. No advance registration is required
2. Meet in the stadium at lunch.
Equipment:
1. All equipment will be provided by Valencia High School. 2. 2. Participants must use the balls and tees provided.
General Rules:
Punt, Pass and Kick Rules
1. Each participant will be allowed 2 attempts at each event. Each participant will be required to punt and pass down a straight line. The distance laterally off of the straight line will be subtracted from the total distance thrown or punted.
2. The total number of yards punted, passed or kicked (distance thrown minus distance from straight line) will be converted into points. i.e. 1 yard = 1 point
Scoring:
1. Scores from the punt, pass, and kick sections of the competition will be totaled for the contestants final score.
2. The contestant with the highest total amount of points will be declared the winner.
Students With Jobs!
If you currently have a job, and are not 18, your work permit will expire on September 1, 2008! You must come to the Work Experience Office and pick up a new application for a new work permit that will allow you to legally work after September 1. Please get this done as soon as possible. ROP
ROP has openings in four different classes of the medical field. Consider learning about dental assisting, physical therapy, pharmacy or working in a medical office. These are great classes to take and discover if this could be the career for you! You will learn basic knowledge of these fields and in some cases be ready for an entry level position.
There are other classes also available. Please stop by the ROP Office in the Counseling Office the first few weeks of school to inquire.
