Five guitars, including four acoustic basses and a banguitar (banjo body with a 6-string guitar neck), were delivered to Mike Copenhaver’s classroom to the surprise and delight of the students.
“We already had several guitars for the kids to learn on,” Copenhaver said. “But this donation of the acoustic basses helps teach the kids about the low range as well.”
Other supplies, such as extra strings and tuners, were also provided by WiSH.
“We are thrilled to be making a difference right in the classroom where it’s needed,” said Amy Daniels, executive director of WiSH. “To see the joy on the student’s faces is the greatest gift of all.”
