Transfers Into or Out of the Hart District

 
Transferring to the William S. Hart Union High School District
An inter district transfer is required for students who live outside of the attendance boundaries for the William S. Hart Union High School District. Before the Hart District can consider your child's transfer request, you must obtain a release from your local school District. To do this, please contact your school of residence or local District Office for more information on this process.
 
A release from your local school District does not guarantee approval for attendance within the schools of the William S. Hart Union High School District. The Hart District will consider each individual request on a case-by-case basis. Criteria for the evaluation of transfer requests include, but are not limited to:
  • enrollment capacity at the requested school
  • staffing capacity
  • special circumstances within the Hart District
 
In all cases where an inter district transfer permit is granted, student transportation is the responsibility of the parent/guardian and student. All inter district transfer permits are issued on a provisional basis. If a student's attendance, grades, or behavior are determined to be unsatisfactory at any time, the inter district transfer permit may be immediately rescinded and the student may be returned to their district of residence.
 
Requesting an Inter District Transfer Into the Hart District

Transferring out of the William S. Hart Union High School District

An inter district transfer is required for all students who reside in our attendance area but wish to attend a public school in an another school district. To begin this process, a parent/guardian must come to the District Office located at 21380 Centre Pointe Parkway. Our receptionist will verify your identity and provide you with an inter district transfer form to complete. Once completed, a signed copy of the form will be provided to you for the district you wish to enroll your child. Once the requested school district has accepted your student, the Hart District will release your student and records as appropriate.
