Transfers Into or Out of the Hart District
Transferring to the William S. Hart Union High School District
An interdistrict transfer is required for students who live outside of the attendance boundaries for the William S. Hart Union High School District. Before the Hart District can consider your child's transfer request, you must obtain a release from your local school District. To do this, please contact your school of residence or local District Office for more information on this process.
A release from your local school District does not guarantee approval for attendance within the schools of the William S. Hart Union High School District. The Hart District will consider each individual request on a case-by-case basis. Criteria for the evaluation of transfer requests include, but are not limited to:
- enrollment capacity at the requested school
- staffing capacity
- special circumstances within the Hart District
In all cases where an interdistrict transfer permit is granted, student transportation is the responsibility of the parent/guardian and student. All interdistrict transfer permits are issued on a provisional basis. If a student's attendance, grades, or behavior are determined to be unsatisfactory at any time, the interdistrict transfer permit may be immediately rescinded and the student may be returned to their district of residence.
