CA-20063 Air Force Junior ROTC Cadets Earn a Perfect Score on Annual Assessment

Santa Clarita, CA – The Air Force Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (AFJROTC) program at Golden Valley High School, unit CA-20063, scored an impressive 100% and earned an overall rating of “Exceeds Standards” for their unit inspection, the highest rating attainable. The instructors and cadets exceeded the standard on 10 assessment checklist items and had zero discrepancies—a noteworthy accomplishment. AFJROTC Unit CA-20063 operates out of Golden Valley High School and consists of 108 dedicated cadets. The unit includes cadets from Golden Valley, Hart, and Canyon high schools. 

This achievement demonstrated the unit’s exceptional performance, dedication, pride, and commitment to excellence. Under the instructional guidance of Lieutenant Colonel (Ret) Juan Gherardy and Master Sergeant (Ret) Winston Cagadas, the program impressed evaluators with its strong cadet leadership, active cadet participation, and selfless community involvement.
