Santa Clarita, CA — William S. Hart Union High School District Teacher of the Year Amber Feldman has been selected as a Los Angeles County Teacher of the Year, a prestigious award that recognizes excellence in education. Her selection as a County Teacher of the Year qualifies her for the California Teacher of the Year competition.
"I am incredibly grateful to be recognized as a Los Angeles County Teacher of the Year," said Amber Feldman. "Teaching is never a solo endeavor, and I want to take the time to recognize my dedicated mentors and incredible colleagues who have guided my professional journey and who inspire me daily to do this noble work. I would not be here without their wisdom, support, and partnership. I’m incredibly lucky that I get to do what I love every day. I still have many more years left in this demanding, yet rewarding profession. I look forward to continuing to grow as an educator, refining practice, learning from challenges, and making a positive impact on both my students and colleagues."
Mrs. Feldman is an exceptional educator who represents the very best of the Hart District. As a Social Studies and AP Psychology teacher, she builds meaningful connections with students, sees the potential in every learner, and creates active, engaging lessons. Her students know she genuinely cares about them while also holding them accountable for their learning and success. Amber’s impact also extends beyond her classroom. She is an active member of her school’s Guiding Coalition, collaborates closely with her Social Studies colleagues, is a co-teacher, and supports students through the Common Sense mentoring program. Most importantly, Amber cares deeply about her school as a whole and is committed to ensuring it continues to grow and move in a positive direction. Amber is a shining example of what an educator should be and is truly deserving of the Teacher of the Year award.
This accomplishment marks the eighth year in a row a Hart District teacher has been selected as a County Teacher of the Year.

Mrs. Feldman was one of 72 district teachers of the year honored at the 45th Annual Los Angeles County Teachers of the Year luncheon held in Universal City on Friday, September 25. She now advances to the state-level competition, where five educators will be selected as California Teachers of the Year, with one moving on to represent the state nationally.
