In our district, families stay, alumni return, and community pride runs deep. In fact, a sizable percentage of our teachers and staff were once Hart District students themselves!
We are excited to release Episode 3 of our district podcast, Hart of the Matter: "Hart District Alumni Educators: Coming Full Circle in Hart District Schools."
In this episode, Superintendent Vierra sits down with three of our many alumni who returned to serve in the very schools where they grew up:
- Loni Anderson – Principal at Sierra Vista Junior High School
- Amber Feldman – AP Psychology & U.S. History Teacher at Saugus High School, Hart District Teacher of the Year, and LA County Teacher of the Year
- Kris Ornelas – Choir Director at Rancho Pico Junior High and West Ranch High School
Tune in to hear them reflect on their favorite high school memories, honor the legendary teachers who inspired them, discuss how education has evolved, and share why they chose to come home to teach and lead the next generation.
