Hart District Science Teachers Chosen for a NASA Mission

Twelve science teachers from the William S. Hart Union High School District have been chosen to participate in NASA’s Airborne Astronomy Ambassadors program called SOFIA, the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy.

36th Annual District Honor Band Concert Announced

Top junior high and high school student musicians from throughout the Hart School District will perform starting at 7:00 pm on Saturday March 4th at the Hart High School Auditorium as part of the 36th annual district honor band concert. The junior high honor band is comprised of 83 students and the high school honor band includes 90 student musicians. The more than 175 students who were selected to participate this year came from a field of over 800 talented students. The community is invited to attend and tickets are $15 at the door.

Bowman HS Again Named One of State's Top Continuation Schools

SANTA CLARITA, Calif – For the fifth year in a row, Jereann Bowman High School has been named a Model Continuation High School by the California Department of Education (CDE), one of 35 schools across the state. These schools are recognized for operating innovative academic programs that help prepare at-risk students for 21st century careers and college.

Academic Decathletes Shine at Regional Competition

Students from three separate Hart School District high schools distinguished themselves last weekend at the two-day Academic Decathlon regional competition held at El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera.

Hart District Receives Safety Award

The Hart School District and Balfour-Beatty, the contractor that built the Canyon High School Performing Arts Center, received a safety award from the Statewide Educational Wrap Up Program (SEWUP).
