Attendance Boundaries

Matriculation for the 2019-2020 School Year

Attention Parents and Guardians:

Transfer forms will not be available until January 14, 2019 for those interested in requesting a change of school for your child for the 2019-2020 school year.

Students residing in the District boundaries, with the exception of students residing in Castaic, that are promoting from 8th grade will automatically transfer to the feeder high school indicated below for 9th grade. Transfer forms are not required. Eighth grade students placed in regionalized special education programs will matriculate based on the IEP.

  • La Mesa Jr. High School students will automatically transfer to Golden Valley High School
  • Sierra Vista Jr. High School students will automatically transfer to Canyon High School
  • Placerita Jr. High School students will automatically transfer to Hart High School
  • Rio Norte Jr. High School students will automatically transfer to Valencia High School
  • Arroyo Seco Jr. High School students will automatically transfer to Saugus High School
  • Rancho Pico Jr. High School students will automatically transfer to West Ranch High School

Students residing in the Castaic High School boundaries will automatically transfer to Castaic High School unless a sibling will be attending Valencia High or West Ranch High during the 2019-2020 school year. Prior sibling/s enrollment will not meet criteria for transfer.

If your 8th grade child lives in a different high school boundary and PREFERS to attend the school of residence rather than accepting the automatic rollover feeder high school, please notify the registrar at your current junior high school.

Open Enrollment and iCAN Academy applications for Castaic High School are available now.
