Work Permits
During Spring Break, the District Office will issue Work Permits on the following dates and times:
- Monday, April 6th - 9-12pm
- Wednesday, April 8th - 9-12pm
In order to make an appointment, the student needs to send an email to [email protected] and follow the directions from that email response.
The appointment will be at the Hart District Office at 21380 Centre Pointe Parkway, Santa Clarita, CA 91350.
Work Permits are issued at each school site. Please follow the steps below and contact the work permit issuer listed below to issue the work permit.
Step 1: Secure Employment
Students need to secure a job before obtaining a work permit.
Step 2: Download the Work Permit Application

Step 3: Complete the Work Permit Application:
- Students are to complete the sections “Minor’s Information” and “School Information.”
- Employers are to complete the section “For Employer to Complete” then print and sign their name.
- Parents/guardians are required to sign the form for knowledge and consent.
Step 4: Work Permits are issued at each school site.
The student must be present to receive the work permit with their Student ID.

- Contact the Registrar at your school regarding Applications for Permission to Work in the Entertainment Industry.
- If you are a home school student, please contact the local public school that you would be attending if you were enrolled in the Hart District. To receive a work permit from this school, you will need to provide an official transcript with verification of attendance and a government issued ID or legal verification of age - birth certificate or passport.
