Mr. Denny has been in private practice as a CPA for the past 20 years, 16 of which have been in Santa Clarita. A graduate of USC, Mr. Denny has experience working with fund accounting in the Montana state legislature. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Santa Clarita, SCV Chamber of Commerce, and AARP. Mr. Denny currently has two children attending school in the Hart District.
Sharlene Duzick – Santa Clarita

Ms. Duzick has been a resident of Santa Clarita for 17 years. She obtained a Business Administration degree from California State University Northridge. She is an active member of the Santa Clarita Chamber of Commerce, Valley Industrial Association, JCI Santa Clarita, and NextSCV. She is active with PTA-National and PTO-Skyblue Mesa. She volunteers with the Single Mother’s Outreach, Michael Hoefflin Foundation, Connecting to Success, American Cancer Society, and Zonta International.
David Goss - Santa Clarita

Mr. Goss, has been a resident of Santa Clarita for 31 years. He obtained a Computer Science and Information Technology degree from Heald College. He has had financial planning and personal, business, and public works training through Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University. He is an active member of Valley Industry Association and Jarvis Howard Taxpayers Association.
Carolina Henao – Valencia

Ms. Henao has been a resident of Santa Clarita for 8 years. She obtained an Architecture and Urbanism degree from Pontifical Xaverian University and is affiliated with the American Board of Architecture as well as the American Institute of Architects. She volunteers with helping people fill out immigration forms, translating, and through her church.
Barbara Myler – Valencia

Ms. Myler has been a Valencia resident for over 36 years and previously served on the Measure SA Oversight Committee. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business from Brigham Young University and formerly held a Series 7 license. Ms. Myler has given her time to over 50 Santa Clarita charities including Boy Scouts of America, Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital Foundation and the Child & Family Center Advisory Board. She has four children who have all graduated from schools within the Hart School District.
William A. Sloan – Santa Clarita

Mr. Sloan, a resident of Santa Clarita since 1993, has been in the banking industry since 1982. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo, and graduated from the Graduate School of Community Bank Management at the University of Texas. Mr. Sloans’ outside activities include serving on the board of the Boys and Girls Club, former Foundation Board member of Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, and he is a former director and treasurer with L.A. Family Housing. He also serves on the board of the SCVEDC. He enjoys golf and softball. He and his wife, Mary, have two sons and a daughter, all of whom have been through the Hart School District, with his youngest currently at Canyon High School.
Suzan T. Solomon – Santa Clarita
School Board Member, Newhall School District
Ms. Solomon has been a resident of Santa Clarita for over 30 years and previously served on the Measure SA Citizens Oversight Committee for six years. She obtained a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Theatre Arts from Cal State-LA and has also earned a Masters of Governance certificate. Ms. Solomon has served as president of the 34th District PTA, Vice President of Leadership-SCV Council PTA and with the District Advisory Committee of the Hart School District. She has also volunteered with the Girl Scouts, AYSO and Theatre Arts for Children. Ms. Solomon’s children have all graduated from Placerita Junior High and Hart High School.
Jonathan Waymire – Santa Clarita

Mr. Waymire has been a resident of Santa Clarita for 24 years. He served in the Navy and obtained a Law degree from Southwestern Law School. He is an active member of the Valley Industry Association, JCI Santa Clarita, Santa Clarita Bar Association, and the Santa Clarita Chamber of Commerce. He volunteers with the Leadership Development Program, Consumer Advocates of California, Warriors to Work, and Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles.
Leon Worden – Newhall
Journalist / Historian / Philanthropist
Mr. Worden is president and CEO of SCVTV, the 501c3 nonprofit corporation that operates the Santa Clarita Valley's public television channels and provides multimedia services to all education and government agencies and to the 120-plus nonprofit organizations that serve the Santa Clarita Valley, Calif. A SCV resident since 1970, UCLA graduate and award-winning journalist (Associated Press, California Newspaper Publishers Association, National Newspaper Association, Numismatic Literary Guild awards for investigative reporting, business writing, opinion pages, websites), Worden has produced local television programming since 2002 and has served as president of the SCV Historical Society, chairman of the City of Santa Clarita's Newhall Redevelopment Committee, founding member of the Los Angeles County Small Business Commission and the county's Ad-Hoc Committee on Homeless Services (SCV), founding member of SCV Habitat for Heroes, founding director of the Friends of Mentryville, and co-creator of the SCV Sheriff Station's first Haunted Jailhouse. Leon established the Old Town Newhall Gazette in 1994 and was editor of The Signal newspaper until 2007, when he left to prepare the reorganization of SCVTV. Today he is chief administrative officer of the Santa Clarita Public Television Authority and manager of SCVTV.com, SCVNews.com, SCV History In Pictures (SCVHistory.com) and other local websites. He is a member of the Hart School District Career Technical Education (CTE) Advisory Group, the SCV Historical Society board, the Friends of Hart Park board, the Rancho Camulos Museum board, and he continues to serve as president of the Santa Clarita Valley Fourth of July Parade committee. As a past contributor to Coinage, the largest U.S. numismatic monthly magazine, he has won multiple awards including best numismatic article in any medium, worldwide.
